Derek & Kay were hanging out with my sister's boyfriend, Preston, out front on his motorcycle. I know Grandma is gonna have a cow about this.

8 days and counting....

We are supposed to find out by next Friday whether or not Adam gets picked up to be a Warrant Officer. The board starts Monday so whenever they finish going through the candidates they post it online. It's kinda exciting, kinda scary. I guess that's true about anything unknown or uncertain. Keep him in your thoughts please!

A new Year....

Ok, so I'm REALLY sorry It's been 2 months since I've blogged, life has been crazy. First off, thank you all so much for your support but crazy enough....Adam did NOT get sent overseas. It's a long story but it was not his choice...I don't believe they sent anyone from his unit at all so I am very blessed to still have him home with me. Secondly, I have had my final ( hopefully) surgery. My skin removal & 2nd hernia repair. I'm still recovering seeing as how a month seems a lot shorter in "healing days" but so far so good. I had incredible support between my husband & kids, my Mom, my in-laws and my best friend Becky.....they saw to it that I was off my feet and resting for as long as possible. I've actually started a different blog to try to capture the year in pictures so feel free to check it out if you'd like. http://jewell365.blogspot.com/ Tomorrow the kids go back to school & Adam goes back to work. The kids are really ready but Adam, not so much. And so, I will try to do better with my blog this year but everyone knows how crazy life gets.

Here's a few recent pictures
